Methodist Girls Senior High, Mamfe
Established in 1984 as a private mixed Secondary School known as Mamfe State College in Mamfe Akuapem, the School was handed over to the Methodist church, Ghana, specifically Wesley Society of Mamfe 1988 due to Financial, Administrative and Staffing constraints. It was later renamed Methodist High School, Mamfe and was relocated to the Mamfe Community Centre. In January, 1993, the School was absorbed by the Government into the Public system. In September 2003, the school was renamed Methodist Girls’ Secondary School and the first batch of only girls were admitted to SSS 1. As a result of the conversion, the school was given a full boarding status in 2005/2006 academic year. Through this evolution, the school has grown to become one of the best girls’ schools in the country.
Methodist Girls’ High School prides itself as one of the best girls STEAM schools in the country. Riding on the wheels of the Wesleyan Tradition and Discipline, the school reforms her students holistically in order to fit into the society. Students are trained to become responsible persons in the society.
With a resounding school environment laced with a serene weather condition on the Akuapem Ridge, MEGHIS can boast as having one of the best teaching environments that affords students and teachers to give out their best.
