PROFILE

In 1949, six illustrious sons of our country saw the need to establish an educational institution to cater for the educational needs of the young people staying around Osu, La and its environs. A private school was therefore established at Ako Adjei Area.

At Independence, the first President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in line with his lofty ideas on rapid socio economic development embarked on a widespread expansion of educational facilities. In view of that the Ghana Education Trust Fund was instituted and charged with the construction of school buildings throughout the country. LABONE SENIOR HIGH was one of such schools.
