NMTC Kete-Krachi is committed to training a well prepared Nurse and Midwifery for quality healthcare delivery .

Our history

The Nursing and Midwifery Training College is located in the newly created Oti Region of Ghana. The College was established in the year 2012 as Midwifery Training School with one (1) programme in Post Basic Midwifery. The school started with a student population of 40. Since the school was established to help improve the skilled human resource needs of the Krachi West District and its adjoining areas as far as nursing and midwifery is concerned, the Registered Midwifery (Diploma) and Nurse Assistant (Clinical) programme were introduced in the school in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Currently the school has three (3) programmes with total student population of 419. The school now operates two campuses, that is, Kete-Krachi town and Gyengyen (Kete-Krachi suburb) campus.

To train qualify Nurses and Midwives who will render quality nursing and midwifery services to the Krachi West District and its adjoining communities and beyond in a humane and efficient manner.
