Northern Star SHS
Northern Star Senior High School was established in September 2012 by an Islamic-based local NGO known as Bambu Foundation and absorbed into the Public School System in November 2016. Members of the Foundation taught in the school for more than a year without any form of remuneration. They started on borrowed premises at Kumbiehi before moving to its permanent site ais t Mangu, a suburb of Wa township. The School allows all faith practitioners to practice without any hindrance.
Vision
To become one of the best second cycle institutions in the Upper West Region and Ghana, which provides opportunity for Junior High School graduates to access second cycle level of education and give them formidable grounds for tertiary education worldwide.
Mission
Northern Star Senior High School exists to provide quality education to all its students by; engaging the best professionals to give them complete life and academic training; employing the best standard and relevant pedagogies necessary, and using modern facilities and equipment; to get the needed human resources necessary for the development of the society.
