St. Paul’s Senior High School was established on 1st September 1979 in the private residence of Opanyin Yaw Anim is a Philanthropist and a native of AsakrakaKwahu, by some eminent citizens of the community as Asakraka Secondary Commercial Day School. They were Mr. Alex Micheal Owiredu (Fmr. Headmaster of Donkorkrom Agriculture Secondary), Afram Plains, Mr. E.K. Gyekye (Fmr. Regional Manager, Methodist Education Unit), Koforidua, Opanyin Kwasi Nimo (Chief Farmer), Mr. S.S. Sefa Mireku (Businessman), Mr. Dwamena Tanor (Businessman), Mr. L. Poku-Fori (Rtd. teacher), Nana Kwabena Darfour (Head, Accra Community) and Mr. H. Asumadu as Headmaster. The District Education Service, Mpraeso, seconded Messes S.S. Sefa Mireku, Mr. Dwamena Tanor, and Mr. Akuamoah Boateng the then Administrative Secretary was mandated by the Community to appeal to the Catholic Bishop of Accra, through Rev. Fr. Mushoof Norbert of Kwahu Tafo for the adoption of the school as a Catholic Institution in 1986.
