The concept of setting up Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School became mooted by Berekum Emmanuel Congregation of Presbyterian Church of Ghana in 1992. The then District Minister of the Church Rev. E.A. Asiedu, spearheaded the overall activities for the commencement of the college. In 1993, the faculty become opened under the performing Headship of Mr. Asante Boahen. Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School has chalked several successes in the place of instructional overall performance, scholarly competitions including Maths and Science Quiz, Debate, Sports and games etc. As a result of the above successes, Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School is one of the great Senior High Schools within the Bono Region of Ghana and the most preferred school inside the Berekum Municipality.
