Christian Methodist Senior High School was established in September, 1960 by the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church of United States of America as a private co-educational institution. It was absorbed into the Public Educational System in September, 1965. The school was originally located at Asylum Down, near the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in rented premises. The school is currently located at New Aplaku, Weija in the Ga South Municipality in its permanent structures. The school moved to the present site in September 2009.

To impact Christians values and provide the most conducive atmosphere for students to excel to support the manpower needs of the country.
Mission
To provide relevant secondary education for boys and girls in the Ga South municipality and other areas to enable them enter tertiary institutions and also acquire skills that will acquire skills that will assist them develop their potential to support socio-economic growth and national development.
