Jim Bourton Memorial Agricultural Senior High School, was established in 1979 by the Logba Youth Association and named Logba Agricultural Secondary School (LASEC). The school was absorbed into the public system in January, 1992. In October, 1996 the school was renamed Jim Bourton Memorial Agricultural Secondary School in appreciation of the good work and sacrifices of the late Jim Bourton. The school attained boarding status in 2008.

Vision
To turn out socially desirable human resources who would be numeracy- and literacy-effective and efficient, morally conscious and diligently mindful about our environment as a positively transforming school community.

Mission
Teachers, workers, students (herein) and other relevant and connected stakeholders going about the teaching, learning processes and other relevant roles there are in a way and manner that would result in the emergence of a meaningfully positive transformed social human being.
